According to the Ministry of Education, this semester, as well as last semester, the state will pay tuition fees for students belonging to socially vulnerable families.
Students belonging to any of the following groups will be exempted from tuition:
1. Recipients of targeted state social assistance;
2. Both parents (and if there is a single parent) or their legal representatives belong to any of the following categories:
2.1. Persons with I and II degree disabilities;
2.2. those registered as unemployed;
2.3. labor pensioners by age;
2.4. recipients of age-related social benefits.
3On the basis of information provided by educational institutions of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (regardless of subordination and form of ownership), students studying full-time and members of families belonging to socially vulnerable groups during the normative education period are included in the “Centralized Education Information System” of the Ministry of Education. will ensure the implementation of this Decision.
4. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan will provide funding in accordance with the orders submitted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Tuition fees for the fall (semester) semester of the 2020-2021 academic year are related to the state’s payment of tuition fees for the spring semester (semester) of the 2020-2021 academic year for students paid by the state https://e-telebe.edu.az they are not required to apply to the electronic portal.
It should be noted that the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated May 4, 2021 “On the payment of tuition fees for students belonging to socially vulnerable families” was extended for the second half of the 2020-2021 academic year.
The decision was signed in order to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and, consequently, sharp fluctuations in world energy and stock markets on the economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, macroeconomic stability, employment, and entrepreneurship.
